Mr. Stork is very happy to find a weighty old dictionary with millions of (it seems) new words. There are even some very small illustrations next to some of the words. These pictures are far more helpful than the written definitions most of the time: if you’d never seen an umbrella, how could you possibly visualize one from a written definition? People sometimes hold newspapers over their heads to protect their hairdos. Would you call the newspaper an umbrella?
